Winery, Inn & Farm Market

About Black Star Farms

Black Star Farms is far more than a winery — it's a complete agricultural destination that embodies the spirit of Leelanau Peninsula. The estate combines an award-winning winery with a luxury inn, creamery, farm market, and equestrian facility, all set on a beautifully restored 160-acre historic farm.

The winery produces an impressive range of wines, with particular strength in their Arcturos label red blends and their renowned dessert wines. Their late-harvest Riesling and ice wines consistently earn top honors in national and international competitions. The winemaking team sources grapes from both their estate vineyards and carefully selected partner vineyards across the Leelanau Peninsula.

The Inn at Black Star Farms offers luxury bed-and-breakfast accommodations with vineyard views, making it the perfect home base for a wine country getaway. The farm market features artisan cheeses from their on-site creamery, along with local preserves, spirits, and gourmet foods.

Black Star Farms also operates a tasting room in downtown Suttons Bay, providing a convenient option for visitors exploring the village.
